Happy holidays

It's starting to get fun at this point as the forms
start to take shape.

After I built the armature, I got so swamped with work that it just sat on my shelf and the next thing I knew 5 years had come and gone. I finally got a break earlier this year and what did I do? Yeah. Couldn't help myself. So here it is five years later, the project is alive and kicking.

Here is the five year old armature. Aluminum Wire with Magic Sculpt epoxy.
I'd make this armature different if I were to do it today but I guess it's all part of the learning process.

Megalith Possessed

This project can be traced back many many years ago. I'm an avid comicbook fan and back in 92-93, Megalith 4 had just hit the stands. Neal Adam's cover with Megalith as a werewolf hit me like a ton of bricks. That cover had a real powerful effect on me. So much so that I decided to do a sculpt of Megalith as a werewolf. I wanted to give him the head of a real wolf so I decided to actually sculpt a miniature wolf skull. That was five years ago.

WOW miniatures

These are two World of Warcraft miniatures I sculpted a few years back. Foresaken Warrior and Draenei Priest. The Foresaken Warrior is 32 mm tall from head to feet and the Draenei is 39 mm.These were a lot of fun and brought back memories. Painting lead miniatures like these when I was younger was sort of a gateway for me becoming a sculptor. I remember being really critical of the sculpts even at an early age. Grenadier had some of the best sculptors working for them back in the day.

This is the vinyl statue. Strictly limited. 400 of the original (green) version was produced along with 300 of the black variant. I really liked how the bronze prototype turned out but it never made it to production.
12 inches tall.

The final sculpt consists of 26 individual pieces.
